Is Tulsa catching up with rest of the nation ?

According to the Bereau of Labor more jobs are still being lost in the Tulsa area. This  down turn is expected to continue in 2010 but may level off sometime in the third quarter some experts say.  In Dec. 2008 Tulsa was setting far below the national average with a 4.9 percent unemployment rate. During 2009 Tulsa continued to lose more jobs and the  preliminary results for 2010 look the same. Tulsa is begining to close the gap with the nation. In fact the peliminary results show Tulsa climbed over a full percentage point between Dec. 2009 and Jan. 2010 bringing the rate up to 8.2 percent.
